“You can use this to adhere and reinforce toe boxes, but my favorite use for it is to finish leather buildups on lasts to make them slick and not “grippy.” Complete your leather buildups, apply a coat of toe box/press cement, let dry, (leather will swell up and feel like Velcro), fine sand until smooth, apply another coat, let dry, and your leather buildups should be slick and shiny. This will keep them from swelling and gripping the lining leather when you pull the last after the boot or shoe is completed.”
