Description
Lisa says,
“Hirschkleber is an all-natural, non-toxic press cement. “Press cement” means that it requires pressure to adhere. It’s typically used for shoe toe puffs and counters–situations where it’s applied and then the leather is pulled tightly over as the paste is drying.”

I use this product mainly for linings, either a complete cover as with a small item such as a wallet lining, or to tack linings into larger ones. I apply only to the leather side and press fabric into it. Hirschkleber is a thick paste that spreads well with a glue spreader without all the puddling and heavy spots left by thin white glues. These ‘puddles’ bleed through the fabric and so must be carefully eliminated, while the rest of the area is getting too dry to adhere properly. Hirschkleber allows me to work quickly and do the job well. Thin coat, apply fabric while still tacky/wet.
